PaintballingOn the 28th of November last year, I went paintballing for the first time, and it was fantastic! Today have been to the same Delta Force paintball centre, and had an equally brilliant day!
During the first mission, capture/raise the flag and defend the flag I managed use almost 100 paintballs and not get shot... not sure how I did that! In the first half of the next game when we had to kill the enemy general, I also didn't get hit. It was only in the second half that I got hit, and it was at the start of the game on my hand, and it hurt! The sting soon went away and we players some more fantastic games.
A game where you had to eliminate the enemy general, a bridge too far, a game where you had to get the bomb in the castle, (which I did successfully  ) Afghan Fort and Speedball then it was time for the big game! Not everyone took part in the big game, so there were a few spare paint pellets knocking around, which people gave to those of us going into the game.
The bag game started, and I didn't get hit much, it was only a few seconds after the game, when a friend used a pellet that I had given him to shoot me very close to somewhere he shouldn't! Worst hit of the day. | | |
Paintball over right? Walking back to the base camp, someone on the opposite team shot one of our team from behind - they were a bit cross and told them not to do it again. Seconds later, the same person shot me in the back from less than 3m, and you are not aloud to do that. You are also not aloud to shoot when you are not in a game. He comes over to me and checks I am alright, saying 'I thought I had the safety on'. His gun is pointing at my chest, so I push it towards the ground, he shoots, and I get shot in the knee from less than 20cm, OWWWWWWWW!!!!!
Overall a fantastic day, I am really glad that I went.
