Mac Operating System Overview
With Apple's Mac OS being the first ever Operating System I had for home use, I must say that Apple struggled to match the more famous Microsoft Windows at the time, and arguably maybe even now. The latest versions of Mac's OS are definitely very simplified but the newer editions that come out, I start to wonder more and more whether they can get any simpler.
Maybe they seem simpler because they do less, compared to Windows PC's. Besides, the amount of software made for Windows is in a different league compared to the amount software for Mac.
Away from the business stats, I have spotted from my own experience from working with Mac's, that the architecture of the actual computer itself is faintly healthier than PC's designed to run Microsoft Windows. From this, I have also seen that Mac's run Windows XP and Vista more stable than Windows PC's however, this has not been the case for Windows 7. This is probably the reason to why a powerful Mac, costs more than a powerful Windows PC. |

Breadcrumb Navigation
Recently I have been busy making updates to my technology blog. Many of these updates are not visually visible changes, but are thinks like minifying the HTML and CSS, to make my blog load faster. However today I have made a big visual update. This update is my breadcrumb navigation system which can be seen at the top of every page.

Windows 7 Review

Finally, Microsoft is able to produce a proper successor to the highly-valued Windows XP. You may be thinking “What about Vista?” Windows Vista had in many ways spectacularly under performed to beat XP and failed to impress in probably every perspective including performance; except maybe appearance. Well now, Windows 7 is here to pick up the pieces and famously kill off XP properly hopefully; but let’s see if this is really the case.
Performance
Performance wise, Windows Vista was more of a downgrade from XP, however, Windows 7 was built with enhanced performance and stability compared to both Vista and XP. Microsoft has evidently learnt some crucial lessons from the criticized Windows Vista and as a result, they have intensely concentrated in the improvement of the general performance of their new operating system including a huge improvement in compatibility. |

iPod Nano 5th Generation ReviewApple iPod is a worldwide known brand. It allows you to listen to music anywhere. In this article I am going to be reviewing the latest iPod nano, the iPod nano 5th generation (5G).
 | The iPod nano 5G was released in September 2009, and since then has become hugely popular. The thing that makes the nano better than normal MP3 players is its awesome features.
For starters, the nano can not only play high quality music through the headphones, but it can also play music through an internal speaker - this however is not as good quality.
The nano can not only play music though, it can also play/display other multimedia such as pictures, videos and podcasts. On the 5G you can even play live radio, and if that wasn't good enough, you can pause it and rewind it. |

The Technology Behind Luge
After the recent sad death of a Winter Olympian I decided to investigate further into the technology behind one of the most terrifying and dangerous major professional sports ever.
If you have never seen the Luge, I highly recommend you have a look at it in action, either on the internet, television or even live!
The Olympic Luge (Luge meaning "racing sled" in French) event was introduced in 1964 at Innsbruck Igls in Austria. Lugers slide down the course feet first while lying on their backs on the Luge. The Luge sled was originally controlled by a hand-held strap which guided the front of the runner. Now Luges are controlled by the drivers applying pressure to the sides of the car with their feet and shoulders. |

Operating System Reviews
A good friend of mine, Arif Rahman, recently offered to write some reviews on different operating systems for my technology blog. I thought this was a great idea, and accepted his kind offer.
This means that within the next month, I will temporarily stop posting articles, and Arif will post his reviews instead. Because Arif's reviews are so big I will only be posting one a week, starting on Wednesday the 24th (if everything goes to plan that is!).
Here a list of the reviews in which Arif will hopefully be publishing:
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Apple Mac Snow Leopard (Operating system version may change)
- Open Source Linux Ubuntu (Operating system version may change)

Google's Empire
Google is an internet giant. There is no disputing that fact, it is everywhere. In this article I hope to open your eyes, to just how big this search engine company really is.
Lets first take a look at Apple, they also have a wide range of products and services. iPod, QuickTime, iTunes, Apple TV, iPhone, MacBook, et cetera.
Now lets look at Microsoft, they, like Apple and Google, also have a wide range of products and services. Windows OS, Internet Explorer, Windows Mobile, Microsoft Office, Xbox, MSN, et cetera.
Apple are tuned in to a very nice market though, with most of their products and services designed for multimedia purposes. For example: the iPod, which is designed for audio and video, QuickTime, which is designed to display images, video and audio.
